Come to ‘BECOME Youth Camp 2020’
BECOME Youth Camp is less than a month away! Youth Camp is always a highlight of the year. We are excited that camp can go ahead this year, and we are looking forward to a weekend away at the Sunshine Coast with all our youth.
BECOME is on the first weekend of school holidays, the 18-20th September. We are heading up to the Sunshine Coast Recreation Centre, a spot we have been to before and which has clean and comfy cabins, great food, and plenty of space. It is also located right next to the beach at Currimindi. Over the weekend there will be a series of ‘Tribe War’ challenges, games, chill time, and a series of sessions where we will worship God and hear from Ps. KJ Tromp on how ‘God Breaks, Shapes, and Makes His People’. The cost is $125pp, and transport from BPCC to the campsite and back again will be provided.
Here are three things which anyone from our church family can do to support BECOME Youth Camp:
- PRAY. Above all, bring our teenagers, our leaders, and the campsite before God in prayer as we prepare for and run the camp. Pray that we would be guided by the Spirit to prepare a weekend which is fully focused on God. Pray that camp would run safely and smoothly. Pray that through BECOME, many high schoolers will come to know Jesus or grow in their faith.
- TELL OTHERS. This year’s campsite has a lot of space—if you know anyone in high school, tell them about BECOME Youth Camp. We would love to share this weekend with new friends as well!
- SPONSOR. Every year there are a number of teenagers whose families can’t afford the cost of Camp, and this year this is especially true. You can sponsor part or all of a registration fee for someone. Your support could lead to a life-transforming weekend for a young person in our community!
To register, just head to bpcc.com.au, and go to the ‘Events’ tab. Be sure to sign up now, because registrations close on Friday the 4th of September.
If you have any questions, or want to sponsor someone, email youth@bpcc.com.au or speak to Nathanael or Hayden.
God bless,
Nathanael
